FELIPE CRETELLA (CRETS)
Visual artist and art director. São Paulo, Brazil.
ARTIST STATEMENT
My practice investigates the intersections between light, time, and movement through media archaeology and expanded photography. Since 2005, I have developed proprietary processes—such as Window Scan and TV Stamp—that employ analog CRT monitors, optical refractions, and gestural long exposures as a medium for light painting, without digital post-production manipulation during capture. By treating urban flow, refraction, and obsolete technology as living pictorial matter, my research fosters encounters between the physics of light and the perception of the invisible.
